Jay M. Goldberg, D.D.S.

Dr. Jay Michael Goldberg has been in full-time private endodontic practice in Philadelphia since completing the post-graduate residency program in Endodontics at Temple University in 1985. He currently serves as the Managing Partner for Endodontics Limited, P.C., with three locations in the Philadelphia area.

He served as president of the Philadelphia County Dental Society, a component society of the American Dental Association (ADA), from June 2010 until December of 2012 and served for three years as a member of the Society’s Board of Governors. He was president-elect from June 2009 to June 2010, and served on the Board as immediate past president until December 2014. He continues to serve the as a Governor on the Board of the Philadelphia County Dental Society. He has also served as President of the Louis I. Grossman Study Club, the Eastern Dental Society and the Northeast Philadelphia Dental Society.

Dr. Goldberg is actively involved in serving the community as the lead endodontist for Pennsylvania’s Mission of Mercy (MOM-n-PA), a nonprofit all-volunteer dental group which provides dental care to underserved citizens of Pennsylvania. Dr. Goldberg has been the lead endodontist for the MoM since its inception, directing clinical operations, recruiting volunteers and acquiring the resources and funds to provide endodontic care.

Dr. Goldberg has been a faculty member at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry since 2011 in the Department of Endodontics. He has been an active alumnus of the Dental School, lending his support toward raising funds for student scholarships and building renovations, as well as class reunions. In June of 2011, he was awarded the Leadership Award given by the Kornberg School of Dentistry Alumni Society. He also serves as a member of the Board of Visitors of the Kornberg School. He was instrumental in bringing 3D cone beam technology to the Graduate Department of Endodontics in 2016 and continues to work to improve the quality of education and student life, at the Kornberg School of Dentistry.

In 2014 in recognition of his efforts and work he was awarded the Temple University Gallery of Success Award, given annually to Alumni who have exhibited inspirational success in their fields.

Dr. Goldberg has been named a Top Dentist in Endodontics, as deemed by his peers, in every issue of Philadelphia magazine’s Top Doctor since they began running the feature in 2010.

He is a 1979 graduate of The University of Pittsburgh College of Arts And Sciences, with a BS in Biology and received his DDS from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1983.

Edward S. Abrams, D.M.D.

Dr. Abrams attended Temple University School of Dentistry where he earned his D.M.D. in 1987. He completed his endodontic residency program at Temple in 1989. He has been in full-time practice since graduation and was appointed clinical assistant professor to the endodontic department at Temple University in 1990. His responsibilities there include supervising and teaching the graduate endodontic residents on both an academic and clinical level. Dr. Abrams has been active in local and national dental societies throughout his career and enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and two daughters.

Todd M. Schultz, D.M.D.

Dr. Schultz graduated from Binghamton University with a B.A. in Biology. He received his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1991. After serving as Chief Resident in a general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in New York, Dr. Schultz received his certificate in Endodontics from the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, then joined the endodontic teaching faculty at Einstein. He has also been active in local and national dental societies. Dr. Schultz and his wife enjoy spending time with their young children. He serves on the board of the Brandon Schultz Memorial Fund, which helps families with severely ill children through a difficult time. He also enjoys playing basketball, biking and working out.

Matthew J. Walters, D.D.S.

Dr. Walters received his Bachelor of Science diploma in Nutritional Science at Michigan State University. He attended the university of Michigan School of Dentistry and graduated with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery, in 1993. Matt’s dental career began in the Indian Health Service, where he spent five years in Oregon and Alaska. He spent time flying into remote villages in Alaska to provide dental care to Yup’ik Eskimos. Dr. Walters later attended the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon where he completed a residency in endodontics. He entered into private practice in Oregon and served as a faculty member, teaching endodontics at the Oregon Health Sciences University. Matt has returned to the Philadelphia area with his wife and two children to be closer to family. He enjoys travel and outdoor activities, including cross-country skiing, backpacking and wildlife photography.

Chinchai Hsiao, D.M.D.

Dr. Chinchai Hsiao, received his Bachelors in Dental Surgery in the Government Dental College and Hospital in 2004, Mumbai, India. He graduated from the Advanced Standing Program at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in 2007. Following three years of general dental practice, Dr. Hsiao was accepted into the Temple University, Kornberg School of Dental Medicine, graduate endodontic program and graduated in 2011. Currently, he is a Clinical Instructror at the Kornberg School of Dental Medicine, and participates in the Faculty practice in the Community Clinic of the Dental School. Dr. Hsiao is also a

Reena Patel, D.M.D.

Dr. Patel received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from George Washington University in Washington DC, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduated with a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2010. She pursued her post graduate studies at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine where she completed her residency in the department of Endodontics in 2012. She entered into private practice in Bucks County before joining us in 2019. She is a native of Montgomery county and resides there currently with her family.

Meghan Harley, D.M.D.

Dr. Meg Harley was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. She completed her college education south of Boston at Stonehill College as top-achieving Biochemistry major, with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Art History. After college, she attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2017 with honors in Community Health. At Penn, she was awarded for her research in medication related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) and received the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) student achievement award. After graduation, Dr. Harley served as general practice resident at Abington-Jefferson Health in Abington, PA, where she obtained advanced hospital­ based training in dental medicine. Dr. Harley returned to the University of Pennsylvania for advanced specialty training in endodontics and endodontic microsurgery. During residency at Penn, she provided hands-on training in microsurgical techniques to visiting endodontists and residents from around the world, engaged in research, and developed a love of teaching. She looks forward to continuing her academic interests as faculty in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Harley is an active member of the AAE and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. In her free time, she explores, runs, and hikes with her dog; expands her vinyl collection; and never passes on an opportunity for karaoke.

Jong Kim, D.M.D.

Dr. Jong Ryul Kim received his first DMD from KyungHee University School of Dentistry, Seoul, South Korea in 1998. After a three-year residency program in Endodontics and Operative Dentistry and subsequent three-year military service from South Korea, he worked at private practice and also taught the dental students in his alma mater. In the United States, he was accepted into the postgraduate program in Endodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and completed in 2014. He also earned his second DMD from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2017. Currently, Dr. Kim is an associate professor at the Kornberg School of Dentistry and he is a board-certified endodontist through the American Board of Endodontics.
